Membership Categories & Annual Dues
SOLDA membership is valid for one calendar year (12 months). Memberships expire annually, and you can easily renew your membership online each year to maintain uninterrupted access to all benefits and network activities.
1. Active Member — USD 20 / year
Practicing physicians, medical specialists, doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, and healthcare administrators engaged in clinical hepatology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, or academic research.
2. Associate Member — USD 10 / year
Paramedical personnel, specialized liver and endoscopy nurses, clinical technicians, and physician assistants with active engagement in liver care.
3. Affiliated Health Care Professional — USD 10 / year
Allied health professionals, pharmacists, nutritionists, public health officers, and laboratory scientists interested in advancing liver healthcare across Africa.
4. Industry & Corporate Affiliate — USD 250 / year.
Individual professionals employed in the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, biotechnology, or medical technology sectors wishing to join the SOLDA educational community on a personal title. (Organizations interested in institutional partnership opportunities are invited to contact the Secretariat regarding our Corporate Partnership Prospectus).
5. Student Member — Free (Complimentary)
Undergraduate medical students, master’s students, PhD candidates, and residency trainees with an interest in hepatology and liver research (an official verification letter from your university or training hospital is required).
6. Health Advocate Member — Free (Complimentary)
Non-medical patient advocates, community leaders, and civil society representatives actively working to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and champion patient rights in liver disease.
