World Liver Day Webinar
Liver disease remains a major public health challenge in Africa, with high mortality rates driven by Hepatitis B and C, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Yet, many liver diseases are preventable, treatable, and even curable if diagnosed early.
To mark World Liver Day this year, on 25 April, 2025, SOLDA hosted a 90-minute webinar featuring leading experts from across Africa. The session explored regionally prevalent and emerging liver diseases, with a focus on nutrition, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), alcohol-related liver disease, and the patient experience. The panel discussion and Q&A session at the end ensured an engaging and insightful conversation.
Recordings for SOLDA’s World Liver Day webinar 2025 will be available soon!
