''Newly established in 2022, SOLDA is an association for healthcare providers and community in Africa that aims to provide education and support for liver research and clinical practice.

It works with global stakeholders to improve the care and services for patients with liver disease. SOLDA also runs the Conference of Liver Disease in Africa (COLDA), a platform founded in 2018 for physicians and community members serving patients with liver disease.

The establishment of SOLDA was motivated by the rapid advances in the field of Hepatology.''
