This webinar will explore the opportunities and challenges for expanding care guidelines across different resource settings, including in high- and low- and middle-income countries. Specific concepts that will be highlighted include:

  • Expanded and simplified treatment eligibility criteria for adults and now also for adolescents

  • Expanded eligibility for antiviral prophylaxis for pregnant women to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HBV

  • Improving access to HBV diagnostics through the use of point-of-care HBV DNA viral load and reflex approaches to HBV DNA testing

  • Approaches to promote the delivery of high-quality HBV services, including strategies to promote HBsAg screening to identify those while still early in the course of their disease, refer to care, adherence to care, and long-term antiviral therapy
